with materials such as merino wool, cashmere hair and goatskin, I create (wearable) sculptures that have an organic en sensitive expressiveness. during an intensive process, the raw material becomes transformed into inspired material and in the end the forms under my hands are literally born, wet en naked.
with scaly barbs, rib-like structures, voluptuous growths, and enticing cavities as their characteristic forms, the sculptures call up images of unique types of plants and animals.
forms that on the one hand are consciously designed, and on the other hand arise out of unexpectedly surprising deviations in the dynamic process. so does each sculpture finally receive its own unique genetic barcode.
